Holidays in Lunigiana

Lunigiana is an historic region between Liguria and Tuscany, among the provinces of La Spezia and Massa Carrara, bordering Garfagnana.

Lunigiana is a region rich with history. An area of much passage, given its proximity to the North of Italy and the sea, it is marked by historical evidence of the greatest importance.

The main characteristic is the legacy of its castles, from Pontremoli to the Magra, unfortunately, in the greater part in ruins or destroyed.

Feuds were characteristic in the medieval villages, which can still be admired today.
There is a great number of churches and Romanesque churches, abbeys and oratorios to discover.
